Indhira Benitez, Deputy Chief Counsel
Indhira Benitez serves as Deputy Chief Counsel at the Office of Congressional Conduct ("OCC"). Prior to the OCC, she was an Attorney Advisor at the U.S. Office of Special Counsel, where she handled complex reviews and investigations of federal employee disclosures concerning criminal and administrative misconduct.
Ms. Benitez began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx County District Attorney's Office. In this role, she investigated and prosecuted a range of serious crimes, including human trafficking, domestic violence, and organized crime.
Ms. Benitez is a graduate of St. John's University, where she earned a B.A. in Political Science, and she received her J.D. from New England School of Law as a distinguished Charles Hamilton Full Merit Scholar.
